DataDirect Networks’ Next Generation S2A StorageScaler Systems Featured Throughout Supercomputing 2007

Company’s CTO Dave Fellinger to speak about Infiniband storage environments and the company’s latest storage advancements

Chatsworth, Calif., November 12, 2007 DataDirect Networks Inc., a leading provider of scalable storage systems for performance and capacity-driven applications, will have a prominent presence at the Supercomputing 2007 trade show, taking place at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nev., from Nov. 10-16. DataDirect Networks will showcase its eight-generation S2A storage systems in Booth #1437. Additionally, DataDirect Networks’ S2A storage solutions will be featured in 11 partner booths throughout the show. The company, which powers the fastest supercomputers in the world, will also participate in several speaking sessions during the event.

DataDirect Networks’ eighth generation Silicon Storage Architecture (S2A) storage system offers the ultimate in performance and flexibility. The system’s DirectOS operating system simplifies management, improves performance and scalability and lowers the capital acquisition costs of storage. A number of DataDirect Networks’ partners will feature the company's latest StorageScaler, which will be unveiled at the show.

The partners include: IBM (Booth #1215), Cal Tech (Booth #2615) SGI (Booth #502), Indiana University (Booth #402), Mellanox (Booth #127), Voltaire (Booth #1137), SDSC (Booth #561), Sun / CFS (Booth #514), Dell (Booth #1816), qLogic/SCinet (Booth #261) and LLNL (Booth #80).

“For over two decades, DataDirect Networks has been delivering the highest-performing, most-scalable storage systems in the world,” said Paul Bloch, President and co-founder of DataDirect Networks. “Our robust and high-caliber partner presence at this year’s Supercomputing is further validation of our S2A technology and our latest 8th generation StorageScaler system.  We are pleased to see such wide acceptance and continued adoption.”

DataDirect Networks’ Chief Technology Officer, Dave Fellinger, will also speak at three partner booth sessions during the expo. Topics of discussion are—advanced S2A storage technology and Infiniband storage. The scheduled partner talks will take place at:

-       Dell Booth #1816: at 5:30-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13

-       Mellanox Booth #127: at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday Nov. 14

-       Cisco Booth #1121: at 10:15-10:45 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15

At their booth, DataDirect Networks will host informative presentations that will run on a daily basis throughout the show and include popular topics such as “Today's HPC Storage Foundation,” “The HPC File System Foundation,” and an overview demonstration of their latest S2A StorageScaler system.

Supercomputing 2007 expands the frontiers of HPC by challenging the combination of computation, networking, storage and analysis and providing a forum of the highest quality for scientists and engineers to present their latest research findings in one of most rapidly changing technical fields.
