DataDirect Networks Announces Appointment of New Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Record Revenue in 2007

Chatsworth, CA, January 30th, 2008 - DataDirect Networks, Inc., the innovative leader in data storage solutions designed for performance and capacity, today announced that Scott Genereux has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and will spearhead the company's continued revenue growth and market expansion.  Genereux will be responsible for DataDirect Networks' sales across all channels, geographies, and vertical markets.

Genereux, formerly Executive Vice President and General Manager, Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Support for Hitachi Data Systems, spent eighteen years at Hitachi in various engineering, marketing, support, and sales roles.  Commenting on joining the team at DataDirect Networks he said, "DataDirect Networks has fantastic technology, great business momentum, a roster of world-class customers, and a strong leadership team.  I'm very excited to join the company and look forward to building the sales team and driving continued growth."

The Company's product pipeline is expanding rapidly, with multiple products currently in development slated for release in 2008.  These will complement the existing S2A9550^TM and recently announced S2A9900^TM product lines, and will help DataDirect Network penetrate new, broader storage market segments as well as to address a larger set of requirements in existing accounts.
