As OEM Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the successful deployment and growth of DataDirect's OEM customer base. This position requires a blend of technical and business skills, with the ability to clearly write and present to groups. You will work with both existing OEMs as well as help to develop programs and materials to bring new OEMs online quickly and successfully. You must understand how an OEM sales channel operates, be able to work successfully with the OEM's sales organization, and develop a systematic approach to helping grow DataDirect's business with the OEM. You will serve as the evangelist for DataDirect Networks within the OEM partner's organization. You must be able to effectively position and present product functionality and competitive differentiators as well as target customer segments, use cases, and qualifying questions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specify and implement all marketing IT tools, including but not limited to website, sales force automation, quoting and configuration, and demand generation.
  • Act as the prime liaison between DataDirect Networks and our OEM partners.
  • Develop an OEM "bring-up" process to guide DataDirect Networks and the OEM as new partners are signed up.
  • Develop and deliver sales tools to the OEM's sales force, including sales presentations, application notes, competitive analysis, price lists, and sales scripts.
  • In conjunction with the OEM, develop and manage marketing and lead generation programs.
  • Brief and train the OEM's sales force on DataDirect Networks products.
  • Work with the OEM partner to develop case studies and application notes about customer use cases.

Education and Skills Requirements:

 

  • Strong working knowledge in storage technology - RAID, file systems, SAN, NAS.
  • 5+ years of marketing program management experience.
  • Computer Science or Engineering degree. MBA highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and process-oriented project management skills
  • Examples and at least one sample of an effective OEM sales training tool delivered in the recent past.
  • Must be able to travel 25-40% of the time.
  • Must be able to build relationships within an OEM partner's organization and manage internal DataDirect Networks resources to effectively support the OEM.
  • Must be able to comfortably articulate and present technical and business benefits.
