As the PR Manager, you will be responsible for developing
communications plans that establish PR goals, strategies and tactics in
support of the companyÕs overall business objectives. In addition, you
will assist in driving overall corporate communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support internal communications such as editing and contributing to
company customer newsletter, help organize internal team-building
events.
- Write and edit press releases.
- Prepare and coordinate PR material such as releases, videos, screenshots, corporate background, bios, etc.
- Develop and implement creative PR plans for each product launch to complement sales and marketing initiatives.
- Establish and maintain relationship with national and international IT press/analysts.
- Aggressive pitching to media for each product release.
- Event planning of tradeshows, promotional events, etc.
- Maintain and update press databases.
- Interface with other departments - sales, marketing, and production- to interweave PR components.
- Generate press coverage for tradeshows and product launch.
- Create and align PR activities to support the company's overall business goals.
- Planning and writing internal and external communications
materials including press materials, internal newsletter,
communications plans, etc.
- Partner with OEMs and partners to ensure positive partner experiences.
- Develop and maintain current knowledge of trends relevant to the storage industry.
- Managing multiple deadlines on multiple projects.
Education and Skills Requirements:
- Must have excellent communication skills - written and oral.
- Background in communications or English preferred.
- Must be pro-active and be able to initiate projects, ideas and pitches.
- Extensive experience with press required, a solid list of media contacts in IT/Networking is a huge plus.
- A broad understanding of all facets of public relations.
- A strong background in technology/networking/IT is required, storage industry preferred.
- Possess excellent PR skills: Media strategy, media relations/pitching, writing, presentation/program development and execution.
- Must have a team player attitude, strong leadership qualities and be effective at working independently.
- Candidate must be a self-starter and results focused.
- Excellent creative thinker.
- At least 3-5 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
