Responsibilities
Be a member of the Product Marketing team focusing on technical and
market levels. Understand customer market requirements within high
performance, cluster and collaborative computing storage space, and
apply this knowledge to creating product and market definitions,
product lifecycle management as well as sales tools, programs and
product strategies.
- Define customer targets and appropriate solution sets for revenue generation with assigned products, solutions or services.
- Responsible for complete product life cycle management for assigned products, solutions or services.
- Identify new product categories that can leverage our core technology to develop new market differentiation.
- Support field sales, direct and indirect in the creation of field marketing tools and programs.
- Support The Corporate Communication Director/Manager in the creation of marketing tool and programs.
- Actively support Industry and Vertical marketing in the creation of marketing tools and programs.
- Create sales tools for executive and technical audiences, as
well as articles and white papers to underpin DDN's value and
differentiate DDN's products.
- Provide input for competitive analysis at the technical and business level.
- Prepare and conduct training sessions for the direct and
channel sales force, which can be leveraged by Marketing team in
support of marketing campaigns to promote business development.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- B.S./B.A. in Marketing or Engineering (or related discipline) from a four-year college or university.
- Five to seven years product marketing experience and/or
training: in the enterprise solutions, marketplace, preferable within
the storage, storage area networking or systems, with additional
experience relating to Fibre Channel and/or InfiniBand products and
infrastructure.
- Three to five years of industry or solution marketing
experience and or training. Preferable with in the Internet-based
services, government, financial services or manufacturing industries is
desirable.
- Experience with the launch of a new product lines within the
enterprise marketplace (especially mid-tier), as well as a
multi-product family lifecycle management.
- Formal training in product marketing techniques and fundamentals is desirable.
- Proven writing skills and publications are desirable.
- Master degree in Business from accredited college or university is desirable.
