Position Summary:

The ideal candidate is a hunter with a consultative selling approach. Must be excellent at building sales pipeline, generating qualified sales appointments for the field sales team as well as assisting in closing deals. This person has a strong passion for customer success and will focus on all vertical markets. This position will report to the Inside Sales Manager.

Position Functions:

 

  • Research and profile targeted companies to identify key contacts.
  • Generate qualified leads and set sales appointments for field sales team and channel partners.
  • Interact with customer prospects and provide product information.
  • Log all activities into sales automation system (Salesforce).
  • Report results to management.

Mandatory Skills and Experience:

 

  • 2 + recent years of recent inside sales experience in technology selling at multiple levels (C-level, VP and director levels).
  • Proven track record in making cold calling and converting to qualified leads.
  • Strong track record of delivering measurable results and consistently exceeding quota.
  • Proven success in developing business over the phone. Ability to make 70+ calls per day & set up 30 to 50 qualified appointments per quarter.
  • Some knowledge of storage and networking markets and technologies preferred.
  • Experience working with CRM systems - preferably Salesforce.
  • Self confident and team player. Adaptable to changing market conditions and customer requirements. Balanced approach to problem solving between analytical and intuitive. Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.

Education:

 

  • BS/BA or equivalent
