DataDirect Networks S2A9550 Tiered Storage Solutions are flexible disk-based storage solutions that combine the powerful S2A storage architecture with Fibre Channel and SATA disk drives in a single storage system. This enables S2A9550 Tiered Storage Solutions to span all levels of price, performance, and capacities.

S2A Tiered Storage Solutions enable customers to proactively manage their data over the course if its lifetime for maximum business value at minimum cost. It does this by aligning data with the appropriate storage medium based on business requirements such as accessibility, application performance, data protection (backup and recovery and disaster recovery), and data retention (data assessment, compliance and archival, and content storage).

Tiered Storage Solutions (S2A) provide customers with the flexibility to select best-of-breed elements based on an open approach driven through our Open S2A API. Unlike our competition's solutions, DataDirect storage solutions do not promote vendor lock-in, thus enabling customers to select from complementary best-of-breed elements for data migration, and archival to best meet their specific requirements.

DataDirect Networks offers increased manageability of data being stored on tiered storage through services and ongoing policy-based tools, and compliance and archival capabilities through best-of-breed partners and its own product portfolio.
