Alex Bouzari, Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder
Alex Bouzari brings more than twenty years of experience in the storage industry and a wealth of knowledge in running profitable, fast growth technology companies. Prior to co-founding DataDirect Networks, Mr. Bouzari served as CEO of Personal Writer, Inc., and co-founder of MegaDrive Systems, Inc. Mr. Bouzari holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Engineering and Economics from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), with graduate studies in Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Stanford University. Paul Bloch, President, Co-Founder Paul Bloch brings over twenty years of experience with start-up and management businesses including serving as the President of Personal Writer, Inc., and MegaDrive Systems, Inc. Previously, Mr. Bloch enjoyed a successful tenure as a director for Hi-Tech Consulting Group, a European management consulting firm based in the United States. Mr. Bloch graduated with an Engineering degree from National Superior School of Telecommunications (ENST) in France and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). Dave Fellinger, Chief Technology Officer Dave Fellinger brings over thirty years of experience in engineering including film systems, ASIC design and development, GaAs semiconductor manufacture, RAID and storage systems, and video processing devices. His experience includes serving as Vice President of Engineering for Ultimatte Corporation, where his products won several awards includingan Oscar and an Emmy. Mr. Fellinger attended Carnegie-Mellon University and holds patents in optics, motion control, video processing, and pattern recognition. Scott Genereux, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Support Scott Genereux brings over 20 years of sales, marketing, and support experience to DataDirect Networks. Prior to joining in February 2008, Mr.Genereux served as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Support at Hitachi, Ltd.’s Data Systems unit. During his 18-year tenure at Hitachi, he served in various key marketing, engineering, sales and support roles. Mr. Genereux holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management Information from California State University, Northridge and is an Alumni of Harvard Business School. Matt Alexander, Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary Matt Alexander joined DataDirect Networks in July 2007, bringing over ten years of legal experience. Prior to joining DataDirect Networks, he was Assistant General Counsel at Ixia, a publicly traded Internet Protocol test equipment manufacturer. Prior to Ixia, he was Senior Corporate Counsel at Move, Inc., a publicly traded Internet and software company. Mr. Alexander also co-founded FilmsOn.com, Inc., a venture-backed Internet company, and was an associate at the law firm of Irell & Manella LLP. Mr. Alexander received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at San Diego, and a Juris Doctorate from Stanford Law School. He is a member of the California State Bar. Michael Blust, Vice President Finance Michael Blust joined the company in August 2007. Mr. Blust previously served as the Vice President of Finance for MRV Communications, Inc. and prior to that worked for Arthur Andersen LLP providing services to a wide range of high-tech and manufacturing companies in both the public and private sectors. Mr. Blust holds a Bacelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and is a Certified Public Accountant. Gordon Manning, Vice President, Engineering, High Performance Platforms Gordon Manning brings over fourteen years of experience developing products in storage industry and was the principal designer of the S2A (Silicon Storage Architecture) product line. Mr. Manning holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Brown University and an MBA from the University of Maryland. Sassan Teymouri, Vice President, Engineering, Enterprise Storage Sassan Teymouri has more than twenty years of experience in storage technology. Prior to joining DataDirect Networks, Mr. Teymouri was the Vice President of Engineering for external RAID solutions at JNI, which went public in 1999 and was acquired by AMCC in 2003. Prior to JNI, he served as Director of Engineering at Adaptec, where he developed PCI and PCI-x SCSI adapters and RAID controllers. Later as Adaptec's Enterprise RAID General Manager, he co-invented ROMB technology which can be found on many major server motherboards. Mr. Teymouri has several patents in the area of storage and high speed signal processing and holds a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Josh Goldstein, Vice President, Product Marketing
Josh Goldstein brings over fifteen years of marketing, sales, and engineering experience to DataDirect Networks. Prior to joining in April 2007, he served as Vice President of Headquarter Sales for Ixia, a leading supplier of Internet Protocol test equipment. During his tenure at Ixia, he served as Regional Sales Manager, Director of Product Management, and Principal Technologist. Mr. Goldstein holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the University of Southern California. Steve Zivanic, Vice President, Corporate Communications
Steve Zivanic brings 10 years of global corporate communications experience to DataDirect Networks. Prior to joining in March 2008, Mr. Zivanic served as Senior Director of Worldwide Corporate Communications at Hitachi Ltd.’s Data Systems unit, where he led the worldwide Corporate Communications function and helped establish the company as a thought leader in the storage industry. At Hitachi, Zivanic designed high-impact global marketing campaigns that significantly raised the profile of the company. Mr. Zivanic holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from San Jose State University. Cameron Presley, Vice President, Operations Cameron Presley brings over twelve years of experience with Electronics Manufacturing Service providers where he held various leadership positions in engineering services, new product introduction, and electronics assembly process and test development. Mr. Presley was Director of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering at Emulex Corporation before joining DataDirect Networks in May of 2006. Mr. Presley graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. John Josephakis, Vice President, HPC Sales John Josephakis joined DataDirect Networks in 1999 and heads the company's HPC sales team. He is responsible for identifying, defining and executing DataDirect Networks' sales strategy in HPC markets and manages the company's strategic relations with many U.S. Department of Energy, Department of Defense and National Science Foundation customers. Mr. Josephakis has over fifteen years of HPC experience at companies such as BottomLine Distribution, Macs. Inc. and Peripheral Vision Inc. Mr. Josephakis holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Saint Edwards University.
